Love Thy Neighbor
by DAVe on Feb.03, 2009, under Podcast, interview
I interview Brad McFadden of The Two Blind Squirrels. In his own words he clarifies a few things he has said on his previous episodes. His integrity is great but his choice of word presentation is weak. In the future, I pray he presents the truth of the gospel is such a way that everyone will hear it. That we may reason together and seek the truth.

How does homosexuality affect who they are as a person as far as their job is concerned?

Would you hire a non-Christian?
Also is the point of Christianity to make us “not-sinners”?
Also also what purpose does the law serve and is there life in it?
Also also also great conversation guys!

I will try to answer your questions, although I dont understand the first one.
2. For my ministry? no I would try not to but only God knows a man’s heart.
3. No but a result is that we are free from being a servant to sin. Romans 6:20-22
4a. The Law serves to convict and reveal sin. Romans 5:20 “Moreover the law entered, that the offense might abound”
4b. No, life is in grace by faith in Jesus Christ.
Let me be clear that this interview served 2 purposes for me to examine how I am and to show the flaws in that strictness. Hopefully God will grow me through this examination.

This is not my podcast, but I have heard this before - and I don’t understand how a Christian can take the equality argument to that degree. If one reads Romans 1, it becomes clear that homosexuality (at least persistent, openly declared, homosexuality as an identity) is more than just a sexual sin. It is the fruit of open, persistent rebellion. Someone who struggles with homosexuality is not the same as one who openly proclaims themselves to be a homosexual. The first person recognizes what he is in as a sin. The second person is “given over” (in the language of Romans 1) to resisting God SO THAT they are justifying their perversion of what is natural. Their rebellion - since it is part of their identity - WILL affect the way they interact with others and the way they do their job.
We are told today - at every turn - that our lives are to be compartmentalized so that your faith shouldn’t inform your politics or your conduct at work. Your politics shouldn’t inform your conduct at work or your faith etc…But the fact of the matter is that people simply aren’t like that. A truly held belief or a real identity dictates behavior in ANY situation. It isn’t limited to one aspect of one’s life. So someone who is in open rebellion and given over to corruption of what is right will have their entire lives affected - not just the “area” that is corrupted.

We can all pray that for ourselves I’m sure.
