National Poetry Writing Month – Day 10: Fat

Fat

by David J. Avila

You think I’m fat!
I know you do
You rub my stomach in circles and I can almost hear you saying
Fat on
Fat on
Fat on
You’re making me fatter
You feed me fat and salt and sugar and grease and butter and pasta and doughnuts and candy and bacon and butter and alcohol and
it all tastes so good
It’s killing me
You’re killing me!

by David J. Avila

They have bacon in them

would make them taste
as good as these
They are amazingly good
My goodness that adjective is over used but it applies here
Never the less
They are all mine and you can’t
Have any
